These are just a few of the projects I've had the pleasure of working on; I work on adding more projects all the time!
Oscillatory Wind Energy Converter
Project Type
Academic
Project Overview
Designed and built a new, small-scale wind energy converter prototype that uses the concept of oscillating motion to harvest power from the flow of air.
Developed puncture apparatus and test procedures to determine the effect of shear-thickening fluids on Kevlar fabric; executed procedures using materials and equipment available.
Evaluated boundary layer growth over a flat plate using commercial computational fluid dynamic simulations and compared results with theoretical profiles.
Modified a Creality Ender 3 FDM 3D printer to use a Mosquito Magnum Hotend to improve print quality, flow rates, and increase maximum print temperatures.
Took the lead of a team of engineering students to design and construct a small-scale, original wind-powered vehicle per engineering faculty constraints.
